I would have given zero star if that was an option. I had an extremely bad experience with Shopee where I purchased a jade bangle via their live streaming platform. I paid almost $2800 for a bangle that was not supposed to have any visible line and vein - therefore the price. When it arrived it had visible lines and I requested to return the item for a refund. Shopee declined my request citing that the seller had delivered the item when it clearly was different from what was shown online - and the purchase form indicated there were no lines or defects as the seller promised there weren’t any and did not check the boxes dictating lines or defects.I have been escalating the complaints since May this year and till now they have just been blatantly unhelpful and turned a blind eye to sellers who sends over items that are not as shown.Their customer service either replies you with wrong information or sends you a standard template response that don’t answer your queries or issues. I was an avid supporter of Shopee but not anymore - I will close my account once this issue is settled.Edited: see Shopee’s reply to one of my emails - so now buyers are supposed to settle with sellers by themselves and yet they have these “thorough” guidelines I’ve included in the picture. Their gemologist report reads “The fine fissures are naturally healed fractures.” To a consumer who isn’t a gemologist, I guess I can only rely on google to define fracture and fissures and understand that the bangle isn’t perfect. And yet I question why I had paid $2800 for a bangle that was told to me to be without visible lines or cracks or “fissures”.

Customer service is non existent. Was instructed to send video to proof items missing and then never heard back, not even an acknowledgement that they received my video and all in order....NOTHING. So I went on the chat and gave them my case ID, was told to hold and then they disconnected me and no one got back. Did you change your CS service provider? The previous batch was very very good in their job but this batch of people seriously need training and decent manners. The email CS was Tasharini and the chat was Reena. Very very bad.

Stupiak platform that completes order automatically even for pre order items. Ordered mooncakes for delivery in September, last month during flash sale. Sellers tell me they have to click on order processing and shipping to prevent order from being cancelled by the system. Now I have 1 order that is marked as Delivered by the system although its for Sept 7th delivery. You can only extend 1 time and only 3 days. So what difference does that make? Live agent tell me noted and if really not delivered by promised date to contact them again.Thats telling me I got to waste time raising every order with them over and over and if anything happens I can dispute and they will TRY to see if they can settle [email protected], if you are serious to be the ecoomerce platform of choice please look into this FAILURE of your management team to anticipate such an issue for Pre Orders and STOP inconveniencing your shoppers, AND provide a more pleasant shopping experience. Dont you want happy shoppers? Respond or I will blast to other media channels especially your competitors.

Would not recommend any seller to be a seller in shopee. Orders would always get cancelled for no reason after you mailed out even if u mail out before the auto cancellation date. Encountered this problem a few weeks ago when I used speedpost to mail out my parcels. 2 orders were cancelled for no reason and shopee just ask seller to contact buyer and ask buyer to pay again. So it depends on your luck if the buyer is willing to pay.I encountered this problem again after changing to shopee express. I shipped out the items and after 1hr, i received a notification saying the order was cancelled because the parcel is damaged. However, when I went down to the drop off point and check, the item is in good condition. I could not even get back my parcels because the store say if they return the parcel to me, the number of parcels mailed will not tally with their system and the store will need to pay for it. Contacted shopee for help and they ask me to either ask the drop off point to return the parcel to me or ask the buyer to pay again. So I have to pay for the loss again since the drop off point could not return to me and the customer not willing to reorder again.In addition, whenever there is a problem and you contacted shopee for help, they will just say they will get back to u within 1-3 working days but after 3 working days, they will provide you with the useless solution they provided initially. For example, when shopee express delivered my customer’s parcel to the wrong address, they asked the customer to contact them but could not provide a solution. They ask the customer to check with the building receptionist because the delivery men state a receptionist received the parcel. However the address is a HDB residential address, so how will there be a receptionist ?

CID 178152114Its very tiring chating with shopee for help of defect purchase as finally still bouncing us back to seller. Purchased gaming chair but couldnt do return and refund as option taken down because seller completed the transaction. I contacted the seller that the chair is unfit for use as my feet couldnt fully reach floor at its lowest level. As agreed, seller suggested replacement of parts but on day of replacement, seller didnt turn up and give any prior notice of cancellation. Seller changed his mind and decided to give me footrest instead. I communicated w shopee for rtn n rfd but kept thrown back to deal with unreasonable seller. We are at the sellers mercy?

I have been buying online jade for almost 2 years. So far I have no problem with the quality or my purchase with seller, even I have problems it was very quickly solved by shopee or with seller but untill my recent purchase I bought a jade cost almost 600 dollars carving flower bangle and matching pendant come with a set. After receiving the product, I found the finishing is not good, behind the pendant has no carving but bad polishing many holes can be seen and rough surface. The cotton on the bangle can be felt with your finger, very rough. I took pictures and sent to seller. They agreed and asked me to send back. I reported to Shopee, they asked to send item back. At the return and refund column I saw.there is an option refund to warehouse or by self return. As requested by seller to send back to them directly by post, rather through Shopee due to Shopee take longer time to send it back to seller. Out of goodwill I send it back to seller through sing post registered mail. I uploaded my receipt, proof of my postage to shopee. Waited a few days why shopee didnt do a refund on my credit card. I wrote an email and also call the chat line a few times. Shopee told me this case has nothing to do with shopee because I sent the items directly to seller without going through shopee. Hence shopee will not transfer the payment back to my credit card. I told them this is not the first I sent back items directly to seller. And each time I sent it back and upload proof of my receipt, shopee will do the credit card transfer immediately within a few days. Shopee keeps saying they have no such policy buyer sending items back to seller directly but I told shopee I did a few times but no problem and shopee didnt tell me I cant. I told shopee to check my records. They wrote me an email I have to wait for seller to receive the item and confirmed it then they will refund to my credit card. Fine I waited for seller to received the item and confirmed, I screenshot shot the message to shopee but shopee said the case is closed nothing to do with our side here. I have to call seller to write an email to shopee China to refund the payment. Why make us consumer so difficult to write email here and there. What is shopee customer service doing? Is already 3 days I have yet to hear from seller how they going to settle this matter and shopee in Singapore said this case is closed.. I have to deal with seller myself.. I will strongly not recommend anybody to buy online using this platform. You will have nightmares solving problems with oversea seller and the customer service on this platform. If there is no policy of buyer sending items diretly to seller, why is it seller ask us to send. Shopee should impose a rule to seller not to ask buyer to send items back to them directly. After this bad experience I will definitely not buying anymore from this platform.

Terrible first shopping experience at Shopee.I purchased a monitor from Shopee on the basis that I would be able to return the item within 15 days if the item was not suitable (i.e. change of mind would apply). It is clearly stated on the item that 15 Day Return is allowed. I would never have purchased the item online otherwise, without knowing if it was suitable for my purposes. In my shopping cart on the item it even says 15 Day Return in a red box, without any additional conditions.However, on closer inspection, there is an asterisk on 15 Days Return* on a different page, where the item is sold. You have to first hover over the asterisk to find a link to access the Shopee Mall Terms of Service. When you reach that page, the exception for Change of Mind for monitors is not even there. You have to click to reach an article in the Shopee Help Centre to find a table of non-returnable electronics products. Monitors are listed in one of the rows there. If you dont follow these steps, you will not know that you cant return monitors (except if the item is faulty / wrong product / damaged etc.).Beyond these terms, my experience with Shopees staff has been poor, with a lack of communication between teams. For example, over the phone, I was actually told that my return would be processed (?!?) and I followed the instructions of the agent on the phone. I was even issued a returns label via Ninjavan. After the item reached Shopees warehouse, I then saw on the app that my return was rejected, and the item would be shipped back to me. I called them again and I was told that they would put the item being shipped back to me on hold, and provide me with an update on the matter after 3 working days. After 2 days (1 working day) I received the item back at my address, without any prior communication from them (and without the follow-up update I was supposed to be given). After getting in touch again, I was told my refund request was rejected.In all: misleading / unclear refund terms, a dire lack of proper communication, and a lengthy process which was just a waste of time.

IN CASE YOU HAVE A PREPAID MOBILE PHONE, THEY WILL LOCK YOUR ACCOUNT AND YOU WILL LOST ANY AMOUNT IN YOUR SHOPPEEPAY. AVOID BUY IN SHOPEE AT ALL COST. IS JUST A SCAM WITH THE USELESS AGENT SERVICE THAT I NEVER GOT IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGENTSUNITHA YOU MADE THE MOST TERRIBLE AND HORROR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I NEVER GOT BEFORE . So, heres the hierarchy on Shopee.Top: Shopee Partners (Logistics, Brand Partners, Investors etc.)Middle: BuyerBottom: Local Sellers (Non-mall/ brand)Whatever happens to your parcel, seller has to take responsibility. It will never be their partner logistics fault, or the brands fault, or even Shopee fault. They will NEVER take responsibility for wtv happens to buyers parcel.I am writing this as both buyer and seller on Shopee.So what the hell is Shopee guarantee? Insurance? Useless af. Basically on Shopee, it is like carousell, buyer seller suppose to handle everything and take responsibility although it is clearly logistics issue. But sadly, Shopee has control over every single decision made between buyer and seller so they are acting as the boss here, all decisions are made FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT. Furthermore, everyone knows Shopee charges commission on sellers, but they NEVER EVER allow sellers to make their own decisions on their shop, and defend buyers or logistics fault & responsibility. Basically, Shopee is the shield for their logistics partner, brand partners and wtv top ppl out there who believe in shopees business model and wanting to push for them.Secondly, this place is FLOODED with overseas sellers. You barely see ANY local sellers. Shopee Singapore source and allow overseas seller to sell the SG customers and even assist them to ship to SG. But local sellers? Well i dont see any SG sellers in Shopee Id/ph etc. Guess Shopee its just a tool that overseas sellers use to enter SG market. And shopee is very supportive of it. Disregarding local sellers. The vouchers and marketing enabled for overseas seller to sell in Shopee SG is beyond what is provided for local sellers. Hence everyone is talking about #supportlocal , yet being a #supportlocal seller has no benefits at all. As u approach Shopee regarding opportunities as a seller, all they say is restrictions. Yet we can always import goods from shopees 90% overseas seller at 1/4 of the price. Instead of providing solutions for local sellers, they encourage you to buy from overseas. Shopee could easily be the downfall of import export economy in SG.Overall, as a buyer, i always purchase from local sellers becauze of the limited resources they have. Also, the faster delivery. I do not trust Shopee customer service AT ALL because of scripted and standard answers provided to buyer and seller which will be referred to email which takes another 1-3 working days. This is a prime example of a business that has no flexibility by following SOP all the time. As a seller, this place is a platform to expose your goods to more people. But note, as a seller on shopee, u do not have any rights but to be just another shop on shopee, and shopee has full control over what u can or cannot do. Basically, instead of selling ur goods and name, u are also assisting Shopee in branding - which is what Shopee is trying to pursue. Sellers on Shopee are basically puppets of Shopee and u will have to listen to wtv they say with no rights or negotiation grounds at all.I therefore, do not agree with Shopees way of running their business model and their authoritarian way of controlling the ecommerce market. Instead of supporting and boosting SG economy, they are just out there to earn as much money as possible. Honestly, even as buyer, items arent as cheap as it seems. Just wait and see how every single voucher will have T&Cs. U may think wts is this person talking about? Of course, it is not obvious that Shopee is doing so much behind our backs. We rarely even see Shopee being unfair and causing disadvantage to buyers and local sellers. But guess what, everything they do is subtle and discrete. If you are experienced shopee seller, u will know and realise the slow changes in the way Shopee treats you.F*** Shopee. Also, dear Shopee customer service, dont bother replying with your copy-pasted answer telling us to email or contact your useless customer service. Stop wasting my time trying to contact robots who copy paste from scipts of answers.
