I had better experiences for the previous times when I was here.Had a 4pm appointment, and could only arrived at 4.10pm. Unfortunately, that set the tone for the rest of the interactions, when the barber began by saying that we are running out of time. The whole affair was a 15mins haircut, 5mins wash, and a 5mins styling. Consultation about what I want was in a singular sentence. I sorely regretted not being earnest in pushing to keep longer fringe and top, as I felt it was cut way too short for my liking. The next customer arrived around 4.30pm, even before I made payment. Why take a 4pm appointment, when you have a 4.30pm one? I left the establishment regretting paying $70 for a 15mins haircut, feeling that I was being rushed from the moment I stepped in, till the moment I left.To be fair, the haircut was indeed tight and neat, it just turns out shorter than I expected. No customer wants to pay $70 to feel like its just an in-between job for the barber. There are better options at other establishments. I chose Rogue & Beyond because I want the best I could get for my wedding photoshoot, but this is far from the best haircut or experience. Would things have been different if I arrived at 4pm, and we had that 10 mins? For the other customers, I sincerely hope so.
